You have no idea how amazing my time was at Vworp. My first time at Manchester and my first time trading on my own, and everyone was so lovely and eager to see me and the other fabulous artists with me, Sophie Cowdrey and Carolyn Edwards who are among my favourite artists. I'm excited to join them again in the future!
I will be trading there again, for their next event The Day of the First Doctor, which will be Feburary 23rd, which is the day before my birthday.
So maybe it's kismet.
I hope to see you all there!
I had an amazing time at Whooverville this year, my first time attending. Whilst I had never been before, the regulars and organisers were very friendly, and the event was incredibly busy. I met some new faces, and some I knew before and it was wonderful to interact with some of my followers on social media face to face.
It really was an outstanding day, I hope to be back next year! Thanks for having me.
Hello all, so sorry for the delay in updating this part of my website, it's a busy life here at Iles HQ. In the meantime, I should probably tell you that I'm very excited to let you know I'll be contributing interior art to the charity anthology "Unearthed" for the wonderful Altrix Books. Find out some more info about the anthology below!
"From archaeologists to grave robbers, from legendary criminals to explorers, everyone wants to know: What's in the Box? And thanks to our intrepid authors and artists, we can finally find out.
Unearthed will be an anthology celebrating the magic, horror, and mystery that comes with human curiosity. Our creators are a mix of familiar faces, new talent, and experienced writers from multiple circles."
If that floats your boat, go and find out more about Altrix, it's makers and the project here!
I had a wonderful time at London Film & Comic Con, and hope to blog about that experience, but I wanted to also share that I was recently interviewed by Mackenzie Flohr, a fantasy author who loves Doctor Who. We talked about my art and my writing and everything in between. I really loved this, and it also meant I could actually share some writing with you all that is due to be out soon, so if you want to give it a read you can find the article here !!!
And now we're onto the Ninth Doctor! Chris was the first Doctor I really got to know as I watched a Tennant special before jumping back and watching from the Doctor Who Reboot. It kept me hooked enough to watch the rest. I hope you like the doodles for him! I hope to draw more soon!!
Well as promised, I'm still drawing Doctors! Hopefully I'll come back to him as I explore Big Finish sketches and doodles in the future, but for now, here's my doodles from the Doctor Who TV Movie!
Seventh Doctor Doodles! Sadly, we only had three days. Which made me very sad indeed! (And I was working a late shift, so I struggled to see everything...)
Don't worry, I'll still be continuing these! More Doctor Doodles to follow. Watch this space!
The Seventh Doctor and Ace are without a doubt my favourite Tardis duo, so don't be surprised if I draw them again. If I can ever recreate Ace's face successfully!
I wish we had more Sixth Doctor episodes....Twitch really did love him, and it was a love fully deserved. The stories were a bit odd, and I understand strangling a companion isn't the right way to start on the right page with someone you have to spend time with, but Colin is engaging and wonderful.
I'm sad to see him go so soon, but there's always Big Finish audios of him to listen too....
Goodbye Peter, it was wonderful to have you as the Doctor, sad it seemed it went so quickly, and I was so busy. But I loved drawing you and your companions. Here is the artwork from your week on Twitch!
Due to COVID19 all of my events have been cancelled/prosponed until further notice.
